Did anyone's ND Club come with a scissor jack?

Picked mine up last night. Noticed that the scissor jack was missing at the dealer. They told me it only came on the GT models. It was late, so I didn't wanna press them on it. Any Club owners have a scissor jack?

Has been the subject of several other threads already. No jacks in US ND's. For example see http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread...highlight=jack

If there is no spare, what is the utility of having a jack in the car?

One of the very few not so good points about the ND. You need to get your own Jack, Lug wrench and tire plug kit. I had an extra scissor jack from a Honda Civic Si that fits in the jack area, purchased a tire plug kit, also had an extra short breaker bar and socket, put them in the trunk. All models, regardless of destination should come with a jack. The car has a space and holder for the jack and non US models get a jack- we should too.

This ^^.

Though I probably won't get around to throwing one in mine until my free Roadside Assistance is expired.

Other than the Voodoo Shift Knob, a proper jack, lug wrench, and tie-down loops was the first "modification" I made to my ND! I also put the bottle of tire sealant goo in a cabinet in the garage and replaced it with a proper Tire Plug Kit. The jack allows me to remove the wheel/tire from the car if necessary (to get at the nail and repair the tire with the plug kit). Any tire puncture that can be repaired by the goo can be repaired by a tire plug. The opposite is not true... there ARE repairs where a tire plug kit will work and a bottle of goo will not (you can put more than one tire plug in a larger hole if necessary).

All of this was already been discussed here:

That is beyond ridiculous.

Hearkens back to the days when heaters, floor mats and even mirrors were extra cost items.
