I was looking at the zeroto60times.com website and noticed they list the '13 Club having a 0-60 and 1/4m times much quicker than the other NC models.
Do these numbers sound right? What would make the Club quicker? Quote:

This article from MotorTrend shows the 2013 Miata Club doing 0-60 in 6.1 and the 1/4 in 14.7@93mph. Actually a little faster than the 200hp FRS:
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._s_comparison/ Here is a post of a '09 owner doing some testing of his own: http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=504744 Here is info on Brian Goodwin's site in regards to the higher hp of the '09 and later models not being reflected in the Mazda brochures. Probably should state something closer to 175-180hp. Road testers would probably suddenly say the Miata is a real powerhouse with no changes in the actual situation under the hood LOL. http://www.mazdatalkforum.com/viewto...=2441&start=90 |

Hmm, interesting.
Reading that MT review where the FRS & Maita were closely matched, I'd love to see a magazine track and FRS/BRZ and a Sport or Club with both cars equipped with the same Summer Performance tires. The OEM tires on the two cars are quite different. |

Unless the testing of all of the cars is done on the same track, on the same day, by the same driver, there are several factors that can account for the discrepancy in the acceleration times.
Here are some of those factors that can account for the discrepancies. 1. Track condition and surface type. 2. Weather conditions. Temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction and barometric pressure. 3. Driver skill level and consistency.

Does the Club come with summer tires or something?

NC has come with summer performance tires (Bridgestone RE050) on most (all?) trim levels since 2006, and thus so does the Club.

The Club (and Touring) does get 205/45R17s on a 7" wide wheel vs the Sport's 205/50R16s on a 6.5" wheel
